Wonderfully honest and well written. As a 60 year old licensed clinical social worker AND the grandparent parent of a bright and imaginative 4 year old, it is indeed both a challenge and a delight. Add to that, the sadness; when our little girl says,"I miss my mom and dad," whom she has not seen since she was 6 months old and whose mother, is my daughter. Lynne's honest emotions brought tears of joy and tears of sorrow of experiences that I know too well. Through her and her family's own pain, she is determined to make her Brady's childhood memorable. Because of you, Lynne, my experiences are given a voice and are publicly validated. Kahil Gibran says, "Our children come through us, not from us". Thank you, also, Brady, for all of your insight. Thank you, Lynne, for writing OUR story AND for writing it so well.

Even knowing the author personally didn't prepare me for the knock out prose and sheer honesty of the horror this family went through and the love of life and each other that they found at the end, Lynne. You really wrote a winning saga. I was overwhelmed with emotion.
